Training Program for Unskilled

In Nepal lots of people don’t have the technical knowledge for work so, vast numbers of young migrants enter the labor market as unskilled workers. Poor skills result in unstable work, low wages and early exit from employment. There is also poor access to information on new opportunities and linkages for diversification. Ruby Foundation trained for unskilled to Skill Training. We build technical and life skill competence and helps young people find suitable employment. We provide the different sectors skilled programs such as: agricultural, construction, Residential Women Skill Development Training, Hair cutting, painting etc.

Our organization operates various skills development & training programmes, focusing largely on women and youth. The initiatives aim to improve the employability of the working population including school drop-outs, semi-skilled and un-skilled workers. Our skills training programs are implemented as integrated components of livelihood and community development and education projects as well as stand-alone projects. Programs include basic computer literacy, beautician training, tailoring and handicrafts. Besides providing skills training, we also work to facilitate skills training through linking beneficiaries to external initiatives by NGO’s, companies and the government.
